What happened
High explosive hit the row of railway cottages on Leeman Road. Six-year-old Arthur Davies and 35-year-old Stella Skelton, of number 1, were killed.

Two named individuals recorded at Phoenix Cottages in the Raids Over York casualty register.
Also worth knowing
The LNER stables further along Leeman Road were hit in the same raid; nineteen horses were got out alive.
