What happened
The last of the six major raids on Bristol. About 153 aircraft attacked over roughly five hours, dropping some 193 tonnes of high explosive and nearly 37,000 incendiaries on the harbour and industrial areas, Avonmouth and Portishead.

Damage to the electricity supply ended Bristol's tram system permanently. Recorded impact areas include Prince Street, Canon's Marsh, Queen Square, Colston Avenue and St Philip's Bridge, along with Bedminster, Knowle, Hotwells and Shirehampton.
