What happened
A direct hit on a tenement at 76 Second Avenue killed eleven members of the Diver family, part of a wider toll of roughly 80 dead along the street during the two nights of bombing.
Casualty note
Eleven members of the Diver family killed at this address. Second Avenue as a whole — including 72, 150 and 163 Second Avenue, where the Cahill, Dunn, Harris and Lee families and others also died — totalled around 80 dead; those other addresses are not separately plotted and this pin covers only the worst-hit single address.
Also worth knowing
The coordinate is a postcode centroid (G81 3HD), not a surveyed site location. Second Avenue's full casualty list — Ahern, Harris, Cahill, Dunn, Lee and others across several addresses — is on the source below but not individually plotted here.
