What happened
The roof and interior of the 1835 Market Hall were destroyed by fire started by incendiaries during Birmingham's first heavy city-centre raid. The shell stood until the Bull Ring was redeveloped in the 1960s.

25 killed is the total for the whole city-centre raid that night, not for the Market Hall itself. No building-specific figure was found.
